脱北者一家を追ったドキュメンタリー “Beyond Utopia”のアニメーションパートを担当しました。身一つで脱出したがゆえに記憶でしか残せなかった風景や、カメラで残せなかった風景、逸話などを描いています。主な受賞にサンダンス2023で観客賞。英国アカデミー賞2024(BAFTA)ノミネートなど。日本では2024年1月12日から全国公開。
I created the animation part of "Beyond Utopia" a documentary about a family of North Korean defectors. Memories of escape, landscapes that the camera cannot enter, and anecdotes of North Korea are animated. Winner of the Audience Award at Sundance 2023. Nominated for British Academy Film Awards 2024(BAFTA2024). Nationwide release in Japan on January 12, 2024.
